The Curado BFS has a super lightweight shallow spool that helps you cast those really lightweight lures. Combined with the Finesse Tune Brake, which moves the brake from the spool to the off hand sideplate. This reduces spool inertia and allows it to spin more freely. You can fine tune the brake using the dial on the sideplate. The main gear is constructed of strong yet lightweight aluminum to keep the weight of the reel down. There are eight ball bearings and the engineers at Shimano have worked their magic to make the Curado BFS very smooth! They even included a clicky drag!
